A STRAT THAT SOUNDS IT’S AGE

Fender celebrates 60th of Stratocaster

60th Anniversary American Vintage 1954 Stratocaster

To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the famous rock ‘n’ roller, Fender has released six new Stratocaster models. Now there has been many takes on the Strat over the past 60 years. Fender currently has 15 pages of models listed on its website. Of the 6 commemorative editions, all are pretty sweet, but if you’re looking for that ’54 sound, check out the 60th Anniversary American Vintage ‘54. It’s the most true to the tone and feel of the original.

Standouts include three ‘54 single-coil pickup and a maple neck with ’54 profile top with a 7.25” fingerboard. The guitar does have a 5-switch pickup controller for those who don’t mind a little today mixed in with their 1954. But for purest there’s an option to have the 3-way of the original. The finish is, of course, classic Strat with a 2-clour sunburst.

Produced for the jubilee, Fender only built 1,954 of these babies. So if you’re the competitive type you’d best get a move on.
