51 years ago this week The Rolling Stones set out on their first headline tour. Whether you adhere to their claim of being the greatest rock ‘n’ roll band in the world is subjective. Less up for discussion is the band’s storied history.  The tours, the women, the drugs, members dying, if aliens landed on earth and needed rock ‘n’ roll explained the Rolling Stones would be a good answer.

Luck of the Irish, Bono may never play Falcon live again.

Bono has released a statement recently that he may never play guitar on stage again. All the rock star pomp and pageantry aside, anyone who loves to play, nevermind made it your livelihood, will understand what a bummer this is. Hell no one would even pay me to busk, but the joy that I get from laying my fingers down on a fret board is indescribable. In his youth, Paul Hewson’s was given the nickname Bono Vox by his mates, which is latin for good voice. He shortened it to Bono after their second album. He’s always been more about his voice and has pointed out that not everyone will miss his guitar playing. Still let’s raise a glass of Jamaison, hope that the therapy proves him wrong and he’ll be able to strap on the G61361 Bono Irish Falcon once again.
