The Beatles and the Stones before they were royals.
The Beatles looking babyfaced.
A shirtless Jagger as slim and svelte as…well today. Although a 2015 topless Mick is something the world could do without.
But we’re talking about rare Beatles and Stones photos from the early 60s, before the appointments of Sir Paul, Sir Mick and Footman Ringo.
The Bob Bonis Archive is releasing 200 previously unpublished photos of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones on eBay. Bob Bonis was the US tour manager for the bands back in the day and the collection is nothing short of awesome.
The photos will start surfacing on Feb 2 as limited edition fine-art prints at the eBay art and collectibles store. The departed Bonis was a shutterbug before every phone came with 8-mega pixels and Instagram was verb. His collection captures Mick, Keith, John and Paul in the studio, at the hotel, on stage and off. The now iconic silhouette of Ringo taken from backstage is so, so, sweet.
Bob Bonis was a huge music fan who never wanted to profit from his collection. So it’s cool to see that proceeds from the eBay auctions will go to philanthropic musical causes like the Grammy Foundation and the Grammy Museum. Sign up for alerts of when limited edition prints drop on eBay here.
