LES PAUL GETS LOW
Les Paul Classic Seven String
When we heard about the Les Paul Classic 7 String guitar, it made us think of men’s razor commercials. You know the ones announcing yet another blade giving a guy a baby’s ass for a face and enough sharp edges to cut a pound of coke. Some people will never be satisfied with the standard. Shredders are people and some just aren’t satisfied with stopping at 6 strings. And that’s cool. 7-string axes allow players to riff in ways a 6 string won’t. It allows for phatter, chunkier tones. They were most recently popular in 90s metal bands like Korn.
Until now Gibson has left the market of a 7 string to models like the Flying V and Explorers. The introduction of the Les Paul Classic 7 String offers the classic beauty of the one of the world’s most popular guitars anywhere while embracing the possibilities of that extra little plucker.
