Epiphone’s big up to Britain
Limited Edition Union Jack Sheraton Outfitted
Released in 2014 the Limited Edition Union Jack Sheraton Outfitted is an ode to the 50th Anniversary of the British Invasion. Anyone who knows their Rock ‘n’ Roll 101, knows that the Beatles first set foot on American soil in February of 1964. The American teenager’s reaction to British visitors bearing guitars has remained fairly consistent ever since. Although there are the exceptions who just don’t seem to translate, see The JAM.
The 50th anniversary of the mop tops in Manhattan aside, the Limited Edition Union Jack Sheraton Outfitted is actually closest to a customized Sheraton made famous by Noel Gallagher. Epiphone did give Gallagher a signature axe with the Supernova, but this was actually a guitar based on an Epiphone Riviera.
Back to the semi-hollow body at hand. The Epiphone Union Jack comes with a 1960s SlimTaper Neck with a rosewood fingerboard and two Gibson USA Mini-Humbuckers.
