There’s been a lot of ink spilted about Aerosmith. Much of it by it’s own members. Joe Perry, with his Rocks: My life in and out of Aerosmith, is the third member of the band to tell their story. First up was Drummer Joey Krammer, then came Tyler’s version of events. Poor Joe had to bite his tongue for a while. Rocks offers the story from the co-founder of one of the biggest rock bands America has ever produced. Does it have the potiential of being a good story? Well Aerosmith were huge in the 70s, hit rock bottom, left for washed-up they managed to clean up(?) and not just do a reunion tour, but they put out some great music making it back on top. And that just the stuff that’s common knowledge. For years Joe has played Keith to Steven’s Mick. We’d buy the book simply to hear about the time Joe first heard that Tyler was doing American Idol.
