The Vibrators Automatic Lover 45
Knox Carnochan is best known as the punk guitarist whose band’s name has been making 13 year-old boys laugh since 1977. Well snicker no more juveniles, the Vibrators Knox has opened a charity shop specializing in rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia. Located in London’s Camden Town, the shop will offer collectible instruments, tour Ts, gig posters and records. Not unlike like this Vibrators Automatic Lover 45 signed by Knox himself. Profits raised will help out Camden charities.
Camden is a borough of London that has hosted the rise of many British bands including Knox’s Vibrators. The guitarist plans on reaching out to his friends in the British music scene to donate goods they have amassed over years on the road to raise funds for charitable causes. He’ll also look to his Camden Town neighbours the Dublin Castle Music Venue for bands donate swag.
Knox’s band The Vibrators crashed onto the world’s eardrums in 1976. Soon after they were signed to Epic records and spit out their first album Pure Mania. If you don’t know the record hunt it down. It’s a glorious listen in punk rock 101. The band’s second album was less epic, the high point being the single Automatic Lover.
