Rare Sticky merch
The Rolling Stones LA Event Bundle
Through a monster back library, ticket sales and buckets of merchandise, the Rolling Stones are masters at bringing in the dollar bills. But this hasn’t always been the case. The band’s first decade together left them famous, but broke. This was on account of naivety and shady management. It is why the Stones found themselves fleeing the taxman and heading to the South of France to record Exile On Main St. Boo hoo. Not exactly hard time, but the boys were already half way through one of the most prolific runs rock ‘n’ roll has ever known, producing Beggars Banquet, Let It bleed and Sticky Fingers. To realize that the bank account was short must’ve been a Bitch (note the not so subtle inclusion of the first song on side B of Sticky Fingers).
From 1972 onwards the Stones have gotten better and better at improving their bottom line. Some would say they’ve gotten too good. While KISS would probably give them a run for their money, the Stones have out merchandised most bands in rock ‘n’ roll. T’s, towels, hoodies, wine, and doggie overalls. Yes doggie overalls, because what pouch doesn’t wag a tail to Brown Sugar.
On May 20, the Stones played a warm up gig for their Zip Code Tour at the Fonda Centre in LA. Along with the hot ticket came an event T and screen print. At first we reported that mercy was available online for just 24 hours. Recently more has been released and you can find the Sticky LA merch here.
The Rolling Stones launched their Zip Code Tour in San Diego last night. You can find the full range of Zip Code T’s, towels and hoodies at The Rolling Stones online shop.
