Get jacked, with no strings attached.
Jack: The WiFi Guitar Cable
So you just watched your favourite rock god strut down the catwalk without a care or a cord in the world. And you’ve thought to yourself, if only I had a catwalk and a wireless jack. Well Scotland’s Ingenious Audio wants to help you out with part of this dream. Yes Scotland, the same country that brought you Big Country, the Proclaimers and Franz Ferdinand is now making it easier for the world to solo wirelessly. Jack: The WiFi Guitar Cable is the world’s first guitar lead that’ll offer realtime streaming over any secure WiFi network.
Until now going wireless has been both technically difficult and expensive. Now lets address the realtime claim for a moment. The Ingenious Audio website states that Jack offers low latency or that it is 13 x faster than regular bluetooth. Jack is currently in the Kickstarter phase so the hands on proof is still to come.
What Ingenious Audio is striving to provide is realtime playback with not need for a router or internet connection. With one Jack you’ll be able to broadcast to any WiFi enabled device for easy recording and editing. To get amped you’ll need two Jack, which’ll run you around $260. Not bad.
WE’ll have to get back to you on what a catwalk will cost.
