The Verb is the Word
So you’re visiting Boston and you want to spend every minute of your time living the rock ‘n’ roll dream. Even when you lay your head down to sleep. Scratch that. Rock stars don’t sleep. But you’re going to need a place to hold the after party. Well Rock Star the place you’re going to wanna stay when visiting the hometown of Aerosmith, the stomping grounds of The J. Geils Band, the playground of The Pixies is The Verb.
Standing in the shadows of the Red Sox’s Fenway Park, Beantown’s newest rock ‘n’ roll hotel resides in a neighborhood rich in music history including the recently defunct music alt-weekly the Phoenix. Nearby, you’ll also find Boston’s House of Blues and the Berklee College of Music.
The Verb itself is designed to please the groupie in you with memorabilia dripping from the walls at every turn. Originally a Motor Hotel to the hotel was transformed to retro ’60s r ‘n’ r by Elkus Manfredi Architects. There are rare concert posters, autographed records and even a playable Fender Stratocaster.
