Gig poster for good.
Signed Pearl Jam Gig Poster
Pearl Jam is one of your more righteous bands in rock and roll. They’ve long been a proponent of lower ticket prices. Eddie the boys stand up and speak out on a number of wildlife and environmental causes. AND the last time we saw them live they covered Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros. That only makes you a band for good in our eyes.
This Pearl Jam poster is a tasty collectible donated by the band to raise funds on charitybuzz.com. Signed by all band members, the piece was created for a 2014 Tulsa, Oklahoma gig supporting their tenth studio album Lighting Bolt.
The image was created by longtime Pearl Jam collaborators, the Ames Bros. The duo of Coby Schultz and Barry Ament are a force in the world of gig poster design. They have also created album covers and t-shirts for PJ and others including Coldplay, Radiohead, Snoop Dog and The Hives. Basically look up hipster cool and you’ll find these guys.
In other noble PJ news, Eddie Vedder and The Who’s Pete Townshend has just announced a one off show in Chicago. The ‘Celebrating The Who’ benefit concert will raise funds for the Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey charity set up to fight teen cancer in the US.
You can bid for the poster until April 21 on charitybuzz.com
