Les Paul Junior 2015
Gibson’s 2015 Les Paul Junior has grown a wider neck offering players increased playability. It’s a sweet upgrade. More contentious is the Gibson G FORCE robot tuning, which seems to really polarise fans reviews.
When updating a guitar that has been played by Paul Westerberg, Billie Joe Armstrong, John Lennon and Bob Marley, one must deal with a certain sense of duty to carrying on a legacy. Now we know Gibson isn’t perfect. They overcharge because of that same legacy. But we also know that you can always go second hand, or take a step down to an Epiphone, change some of the components and you’re good to rock.
If you must have a Gibson, want American made and price is an issue, the 2015 single pick-up Les Paul Junior is worth your time. While not cheap, it’s Gibson’s most affordable Les Paul running around $900.
