The Ludwig Salesman Kit

The Ludwig Salesman kit saw a resurgence when Black Keys drummer Pat Carney toured with the multi-colored set. You wouldn’t be alone if you thought the Ludwig classic set was a result of 60s psychedelia, see acid trip. The rainbow finish was actually created by Ludwig in the 50s and 60s as a tool for travelling reps. The multi-colored finish presented all the options available from Ludwig at the time. Carney’s kit is an upgrade made with Classic Maple Shells available only in the US at select dealers.You can no longer find the kit on Ludwig’s site, but Salesman  kits do appear on reseller sites like this one we found on  reverb.
