CELEBRATE STRAT’S 60TH WITHOUT THE FINANCIAL HANGOVER

Classic Vibe Stratocaster 50’s 

Fender has been celebrating the 60th anniversary of it’s Stratocaster throughout 2014. A couple of weeks ago we featured our favourite of the 6 special editions, the 60th Anniversary American Vintage 1954 Stratocaster. It’s a beautiful guitar, but at $1500, it’s not for everyone. Fender’s little bro Squier offers a more approachable option in the Classic Vibe Stratocaster 50’s, which shouldn’t cost you much more than $550. It’s a great guitar that’s been receiving a lot of good customer reviews online.

Now the Squier Classic Vibe series is a bit of a read-between-the-lines name. The guitars are not replicas, but rather inspired by the the eras they represent. Depending on what you’re looking for, this can be a good thing. The Classic Vibe Stratocaster 50’s comes with some nice playable upgrades like medium-jumbo frets on a modern 9.5″ radius neck.
