STRATOCASTER’S FOR CLEAN WATER
Hurley and Fender present ‘Strat: 60 years of the Stratocaster’
Over the past 60 years, many a musician has claimed that a Stratocaster saved their life. At the very least, it helped more than a few of them get laid, which depending on the night could be considered a life saver. Here’s a cool idea that will have Starts put to an even nobler cause. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Stratocaster, Fender is teaming up with Hurley to raise cash for Waves for Water.
20 hand-painted, American Strats will be auctioned off on e-bay with 100% of the money going to the foundation. Waves for Water helps people in need around the world gain access to clean water. Props.
Each Stratocaster up for grabs is a one of a kind with designs created by a pretty impressive bunch. The list of artists include Shawn Stussy, Don Ed Hardy, Johnny Marr, Tim Armstrong and Ryan Adams, whose design is featured above.
The auction will take place on e-bay from October 22 to November 1. To get in on the action click.
